Types Of Polarizing Filters.

Although armed with these good intentions, buy a polarizer filter can lead to confusion. There are a lot of different types, and may have up to 7, including: C - PL, MC - CPL, Big C - PL, Safe Water Shield PL-C, C DHG - PL. How do they differ?

The first filter, called PL is used to MF (manual focus), only the cameras and uses a linear polarization. The second type is for any MF / AF (Manual / Auto Focus) and utilizes a circular polarization camera. If using polarizing filters with an auto focus camera, make sure the filter of ะก. PL / PL-C logo on it, or is otherwise clearly a circular polarizing filter. We will discuss later why it is so important.

Some filters with larger diameters is only linear. MC filters - CPL and MC - PL brands use multilevel coating effectively minimize glare and reflections and providing more light. Water Proof Coat-CMP C-PL or PL, in its current form of the name, has a water resistant material on the external surface. The last C-PL DHG filter is specifically designed to protect digital camera lens.

Polarized light by a linear filter (PL) can cause errors in the opening and the approach of measuring auto focus on all digital cameras. With polarized glass was equal to 90 degrees, the digital camera is likely that it will stop processing the image at all. To avoid this, the use of circular polarizing filter (PL-C) that does not cause these effects. There are other important differences between these two types of filters, so you can select the most appropriate for their purpose.
